The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is a research university located in Cambridge, Massachusetts (USA). MIT is a world-class educational institution with five schools and one college, containing a numerous academic departments, with a strong emphasis on scientific and technological research.

The purpose of this website is to present information about MIT and the International Scholarship "Bolashak", which was established by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 1993. The "Bolashak" Scholarship gives the opportunity to study in any university of the world.


MIT - Kazakhstan - Bolashak

MIT is a large, research oriented instituion with a great number of enrollments in graduate and professional programs. 4,232 undergraduates and 6,152 graduate students were enrolled in fall 2009 (source). Only 10.7 percent of first-year applicants were offered admission in 2009 (source).


"MIT is located on 168 acres that extend more than a mile along the Cambridge side of the Charles River Basin. The central group of interconnecting buildings, dedicated in 1916, was designed by architect W. Welles Bosworth (Class of 1889) to permit easy communication among schools and departments" ("MIT Facts").
